ChefsBest identifies and honors the best tasting grocery products in order to support the companies that make them and the people who choose to select them.

During the more than 15 years ChefsBest has been evaluating food, we’ve judged thousands of grocery and food service products and bestowed our Best Taste and Excellence awards upon the highest quality national products. More recently, to meet growing demand and evolving shopping habits, ChefsBest expanded its award portfolio by creating a new distinction for regional and boutique products as well as store brand products. Founded in 2000, ChefsBest began as an effort by chefs to provide guidance to their peers in the industry on which items to purchase for their restaurants.

Out of that concept, ChefsBest evolved into an organization that also provided assistance to consumers, who view professional chefs as experts on how food should taste. ChefsBest then began to combine our chef expertise with objective sensory evaluation techniques to build a repeatable, proprietary methodology for evaluating grocery products. The ChefsBest awards were created as a way to recognize and honor brands that surpassed all others in both quality and test.

Today, the ChefsBest team works tirelessly in support of our mission from its two locations in California. In doing so we have become a nationally recognized trust mark for consumers searching for high-quality food products for their homes.
